Cleome aspera Cleomaceae (Spider flower family)

Common name: Rough spider flower

Herb with squarish rough stem with some prickles. Grows to around 10 cm in length. Weak stemmed diffuse branching. Trifoliate alternate gland dotted leafs. Leaf margin gland dotted, hairy with some prickles. Flower seen mostly solitary. Flower has four petals yellow in color. The fruit is in the form of a capsule. This plant is seen in peninsular India.
