Common Name :Leafless-stem balsam

Leafless-stem balsam is a herb endemic to the Western Ghat area and grows to around 1 feet in height. The plant is mostly seen on rocky surfaces near waterfall areas. The plant has a few basal leaves which are ovate-orbicular in shape with a crenate margin and a cordate base. The pink colored flowers are borne on a leafless talk. This plant was seen in hills around Tenkashi at around 1000 msl on the slopes of a waterfall.
