Mammillaria Beneckei (Cactaceae-Catus family)

Common Name: Benecke’s nipple cactus.

Mammillaria is one of the largest genus in cactus family. These cactus plants appear short and cylindrical in shape and are often used as an ornamental plant in house-gardens. It has closely spaced areolies bearing spines. Benecke’s nipple cactus bears large yellow flowers which are very attractive. The flower measurers around 7 cm across. The petals measure around 3.6 cm each. Commonly sold in plant nurseries.
