Xenostegia tridentata (convolvulaceae- Morning glory family)

Common Name: Arrow leaf morning glory. Tamil Name: Mutiyar-kuntal

Trailing herb found in fallow lands and forest edges. The often seen to march in straight lines. The leaves are arrow shaped; leaf base is auricled, the leaf apex is acute, mucronate. Flowers are tubular and yellow in color; the center portion of the flower is dark maroon in color. The fruit is in the form of a sub-globose capsule with four seeds.
