Common name: Entire leaf wild grape. Tamil name: Gudamathige.
C adnata is a large deciduous liana that can spread over 10 meters. This cissus member is found in Asia and Australian regions. The plant has a rusty appearance, the leaf opposite tendrils helps the plant to climb over nearby vegetations. The plant has a rather succulent appearance. The simple leafs are arranged in an alternate manner. The leaf base is heart shaped and the tip is acute. The leaf is oval and margins are dentate. The dentate tip of the leaf ends in an aristate tip. The leaf length measure around 6 cm, the leaf across measure around 5.2 cm and the leaf stalk measure around 3 cm respectively. From each leaf axis a tendril arises, which enables the plant to attach itself and spread. The inflorescence is in the form of a flat cyme the length of it is lesser than the length of the leaf. The flower has 4 petals which are greenish-yellow and they measure around 1.5 mm. The fruit is initially orange and is in the form of berry with a single seed. The berry turn black when fully ripe. The fruits and leafs are edible and collected from wild. The non-edible uses include marking ropes and many other medicinal applications.
