Common Name: Creeping blepharis. Tamil Name: Naalilai, Kooravaal Chedi.
Creeping Blepharis is herb commonly seen in forest fringes and road sides of Tamilnadu. Leaves are node arranged in a whorled manner and at each there are about four sessile unequal sized leaves. It is a perennial herb. The leaves are abovate in shape, leaf apex is apiculate; leaf margin is gently serrate. Flowers are borne on the leaf axis. There are four petals; the upper lip is three lobed. The flowers are white in color with prominent pinkish nerves. The fruit is in the form of a capsule.
