Common Name: Malabar Bindweed.
This plant is a prostrate herb often seen in fallow lands and road-sides. The entire plant is covered with velvety hairs. The leaves are ovate in shape; leaf base cordate and leaf apex pointed. Flowers are borne on leaf axis; mostly 1-3 flowers are seen on the leaf axis. Flowers are bell shaped and are pale yellow in color with a dark purple center. The fruit is the form of a four-valve capsule. The overlapping sepals are a notable point in identifying of this plant. This plant is seen in tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world. The plant has excellent scope to be positioned as an ornamental home garden plant.
